Advice for shooters wanting to get into competitive shooting:
My advice for new shooters would be the same as for experienced shooters.  Make sure you are always learning, being safe and having fun.  One of the best parts of the sport is the companionship and the support of those with whom you compete.  Make sure enjoyment is your first priority.  And to be successful, practice and take every opportunity to learn from those around you.

Advice for shooters wanting to get into competitive shooting:

From shooting the first target to the last always focus on hitting the next target not the ones that might have gotten away. I have learned that negative thoughts while shooting turn into LOST shots.

When my dad was teaching me how to shoot, I would learn from him and only one other person. Too many options can get in the way of being a good shooter.

No matter what is going on in my life when I step up to that shooting line I am there to hit targets, be the best I can be, and most of all keep smiling!

Advice for shooters wanting to get into competitive shooting:
Wow, where to start:  1) Be safe 2) Learn how to build an accurate shot on demand 3) zero your rifle and then zero it again 4) the sights control how fast you shoot 5) major matches are marathons not sprints.
