The 453 Varmint is based on the same time-proven platform as our 452 models, featuring a 21" heavy barrel without sights and an integrated dovetail groove for scope mount attachment. The 453 models feature a fully adjustable single-set trigger system mechanically identical to the CZ 527 and 550 centerfire rifles. The .22 LR models have an 11mm dovetail and the .17 HMR models feature a 3/8" dovetail. The rifles are shipped with a 5-round magazine.

Added by 453MarineI love my CZ 453 Varmint, there is not one thing I would change about this rifle except the number of how many I own. One currently, this rifle is more accurate than I am and even with cheaper bulk ammunition is capable of astonishing accuracy. I've shot out to 100 yards with absolute ease, the rifles set trigger makes it a dream to shoot and is a great selling point. Its the reason I chose the 453 over the 452. Smallest three shot groups I've shot at 50 yards is about 1/3rd of an inch and that was just with a sandbag and a blanket roll for a shooting rest. Thank you CZ for an outstanding rifle and I plan on purchasing another.

Added by CZ ChuckI shoot 20 targets a week and the average grouping is .32mm the minimum is .03mm and maximum is .65mm at 25 meters, 3 shot groups on A-36 targets using Eley Target Rifle 22LR. Thank you CZ for making such a good little rifle. Now I will buy a CZ 455 heavyest barrel in 22LR.

Added by cz 453 varmint 17 hmrI have a 453 Varmint 17 HMR that i recently glass bedded. Here is a picture of my 10 shot group at 100 yards. It equals .5". I had three flyers that I must have pulled. It's one of my most accurate rifles and its cheap to shoot!
