This model is a decocker version of the basic CZ 75 B model. The decocking lever mounted on the left side allows the hammer to be easily lowered on a loaded chamber for a safe, 'hammer down' carry.
CZ 75 B is used by more Governments, Militaries, Police and Security agencies than any other pistol in the world. The CZ 75 is quite possibly the perfect pistol.
Designed in 1975, the CZ 75 is the flagship model of the CZ handgun line with over one million produced. An entire family of pistols is available based on the basic CZ 75 design: compacts, decockers, single action only, ambidextrous, alloy frames as well as competition pistols.

I bought a CZ 75 BD Police & i found it to be very accurate & reliable, but i had a little problem with the D/A mode. CZ USA fixed the problem free of charge they paid for everything. It worked flawlessly after they fixed it.
Picked up a CZ 75 BD POLICE (my new favorite gun) yesterday, after selling my M&P .40 to a good friend. I have wanted a CZ 75 for years, after seeing them compared favorably to the Browning Hi Power (my old favorite gun). Well after 200 rounds of FMJ, I'm in love. It's certainly not the greatest gun around, but it is my new favorite. Thanks CZ USA, for bring these wonderful firearms stateside!
As Instructor, I found a perfect pistol capable of being used by students in training, resistant to abusive shooting and is strong, accurate, easy to handle. I use this CZ-75BD 9 mm, also for my personal defense , and the most important, this is the best accurate pistol just out of the box, do not need to invest a penny in improvement. Strong recommendation to everybody
Recently sold my Beretta 92FS and used the money to buy a new CZ 75 BD in 9 mm and I think it is an excellent pistol, well made and shoot very good. I have owned one prior CZ, so I had experience with them and knew them to be a well made and reliable pistol. So far I haven't found any faults with the pistol, shoots all ammunition without any problem and so far, no jams. I have replaced the standard grips with a pair of Hogue rubber grips which sits better in my hands and I changed the front an rear sights. The sights were just a little small for my eyes when I was at the range, just a personal thing but my neighbor thought they were also a tad too small for the pistol. I have no regrets selling the Beretta and buying the CZ.
I wanted a full size 75 9mm and finally decided to go with a BD model as it has the same manual of arms as my P-01. I was able to get a new BD Police version with the loaded chamber indicator. The first time out it performed flawlessly in spite of it being a bitterly cold day. My hands were numb and clumsy it was so cold. I was able to fire it again today in better weather and experienced the same excellent accuracy and reliability as you would expect from the CZ75 series. I'm very pleased. The only change I made was getting a pair of the thin rubber grips from CZ, that's my personal preference.
from the day I bought it... It kicks less then my dad's Sig 226 has a great feel and balance...
I've had my CZ 75BD for almost 3 years and with almost 4000 rounds through it, it is still way more accurate than I am and it is still my favorite gun. I've 'sold' a few people on the CZ, once they have tried mine. Reliable, durable and a true joy to shoot.
After renting this one at a range I immediately bought the only one they had left. The trigger pull, the comfort, and of course the accuracy are second to none. And for the price, it is must compared to the popular polymer frames. I have already convinced 3 other friends to buy one.
Bought the Cz 75BD just to see if I would like it better than my Sig. I like it better than my Equinox but about the same as my older German model. But for the price I say get one before it goes up.
I've had my BD for about a month now. I have put about 300 rounds through it, and wish I could afford to have done twice that or more. It is a dream to shoot, and it is THE most accurate pistol I had ever fired. I will not be getting rid of it...ever. It has lived up to it's reputation and far beyond. I'm a CZ man for life now. I'm looking for a CC gun next. RAMI, here I come.
Yesterday, the glacier moved. After way too long of telling myself I didn't need another gun and a lot of conflicting advice from friends, I bought a CZ-75BD. Because I have a CCW, I was able to take immediate possession. I bought a box of ammo, went into the range area, loaded, fired -- and was astonished. 10X ring at ten yards. Gone. Moved target to 15 yards and increased rate of fire. 10X ring gone. With the last five rounds, I played "put them into one hole." Again, almost incredulous when faced with the accuracy. The CZ-75BD is simply the most accurate weapon I have ever fired "fresh out of the box." I started shooting 62 years ago and had not heard of CZ Firearms until I began researching acquisition of another 9mm. I don't know of a better gun for the money than my new CZ-75BD.
Bought my pistol about a month ago and decided I would test her out rather roughly. I cleaned up the packing lube and proceeded to shoot my pistol until something happened that would make me clean it. I shot about 100 rounds of 115gr Remington UMC and about 400 rounds of 124gr Aguila full metal jacket ammo before I crossed that line I was looking for. It was around round 490-500 that the slide was not fully returning upon reloading a round from the magazine that I opted to stop shooting. What an amazing feat! Now I have an idea just what this fine machine will tolerate from me and have no reason to avoid keeping her clean from here on out. This is my every day carry weapon and I have absolutely no issue thinking she will defend me without fail if that occasion ever befalls me. Thank you CZ for your fine craftsmanship!
As one can see by checking the CZ-83 area, my first pistol was the 83. About 15 months later, I decided it was time to move up to a 9mm Luger. My dealer wisely recommended the 75-BD, and his choice was spot on. The BD is reasonably priced, well made, shoots everything you feed it, and just feels natural to hold and aim. I quickly gained confidence shooting it, and couldn't be happier with my purchase. BTW, preliminary research by my brother seems to indicate that both of our grandfathers came to the USA from what is today the Czech Republic; small world! I became so impressed with my BD that I bought a second one, and Kadet Kits for both pistols. Coincidentally, my kid sister recently asked me to help her learn how to shoot a pistol for self-defense and recreation, so my second BD and its Kadet adapter will soon have another home. I feel certain they will impress her.
I have owned the CZ-75BD for the last nine years and I couldn't be happier. Amazing quality for a reasonable price. My advice to all is: buy one, you won't regret it! Accurate, comfortable, high quality, low cost...you can't go wrong.
Thanks, in great part, to the condition of the economy, I recently purchased a CZ 75-BD. I was in the market for an affordable 9mm with a decocking feature and after reviewing my options, I decided that based upon the financial issues, and reviews of this pistol, I'd give the 75-BD a go. I can say with absolute certainty it was a sound decision. Quality of machining and fit is excellent, and while I'm not partial to the trend of painting firearms, I must say that the finish is very well applied. Rapid fire accuracy at 7 and 10 yards is on par with several of my more expensive guns. Old-World, Eastern-European Craftsmanship at an attractive price.
One of the best hundgun I have fired and i fired a lot of them.
