Try the new CZ-75, SP-01 Shadow from the CZ custom shop.It's not too expensive, has a fiber optic fr sight, can go "cocked and locked" like our 1911's, and literally drives tacks downrange.Yesterday I put a hotspot about the size of a penny through the face of the target off-hand, one-handed at 17meters...first shot!The rest went through the same bullet hole!It's easily as accurate as my kimber.45, and was about $300 less.Also has fewer moving parts.Give it a try...you won't be disappointed!

This is quite possibly the best "feeling" pistol out there. I might quibble somewhat about the slight creep on single action, and I'd personally rather have the non-decocker version, a steel guide rod, but the thing shoots....POA and POI are coincident, no malfunctions. For an old 1911 guy, this thing flat works. Just needs night sights and "standard" capacity mags but it's still a great carry piece.

I am now doing IDPA shoots W/75 compact SA/DA. Enjoying this gun since 1996. Looking to 75B S/A or 85 combat if the trigger pull is shorter.I may go for it anyway. I like the feel of the full size 75 compared my 1911 Matchmaster.

I bought the CZ 75B .40 cal last year and I love it, it has that old school feel to it, meaning that is has a good weight to it and it is built strong, now I am looking to buy the CZ 75B compact for my CCW permit.
