The CZ-USA Shooting Team had a great match in Guayaquil Ecuador from the 22nd to the 27th of August. The CZ-USA team worked their way to fourth place overall in the team competition. The match consisted of 36 stages over 6 days of shooting. Almost 950 competitors shot in the match with over 200 in the production division alone.
Angus Hobdell, captain of the CZ-USA shooting team shot his way to third overall in the IPSC production division world championships. Matt Mink had an outstanding match as well coming in 11th place in production division. Pete Milionis finished in 24th place and Todd Sindelar finished in 53rd place against tough competition. Congratulations to all for a great performance.
This year the entire CZ-USA shooting team shot in production division. The team used the CZ 75 SP-01 model. The SP-01 is a new double/single action model that was designed as a service pistol, but has now proven itself in the competition world as well.
3 of the top 4 shooters in production division shot CZ firearms this year. Adam Tyc of the Czech Republic earned the title of World Champion with an SP-01, and also shooting an SP-01, Marian Vysny of the Slovak Republic finished in 4th place. In addition, Marian also earned the title of World Champion by winning the man on man shoot off on Sunday.
