Referred to by some experts as the best 9mm handgun of the century, the classic CZ 75 provides the perfect combination of accuracy, durability, and price.
The classic CZ 75 is a durable, all-steel pistol with a surprisingly slim grip for its magazine capacity, and has been imitated by firearms manufacturers around the world. The CZ 75 is known for its reliability, shootability, and excellent accuracy due to a smooth trigger, low profile slide, and high quality barrel. The double-action trigger mechanism allows the shooter to carry the loaded pistol either “cocked and locked” with the hammer cocked and the thumb safety engaged, or with the hammer down for a double-action first shot.
The CZ 75 is available in a variety of versions, including a full-size 9mm Luger, .40 S&W;, and .22 LR calibers, as well as in a 9mm compact model. The CZ 85 is an ambidextrous version of the CZ 75 with safety locks and slide stops on both sides of the slide for left-handed or weak-handed shooting. The CZ 75 Champion is designed especially for sport shooting, and the CZ 75 Kadet is a special conversion kit which allows .22 LR cartridges to be used.
All CZ 75 and 85 pistols are available with a firing pin block and are classified as the CZ 75B/85B pistols. The optional firing pin block will allow the pistol to be carried “cocked and locked” while assuring that if the gun were dropped, the firing pin would be blocked by the safety.
The CZ 75B also provides the option of a decocking lever instead of a safety lock in the CZ 75BD or compact D. This spring-loaded lever facing rearward on the left-hand side of the frame will allow users to engage the safety without carrying the pistol “cocked and locked.”
Sport shooters around the world depend on the CZ 75 for competition use. Ted Bonnet of CZ-USA·s shooting team used a CZ to capture the Stock Semi-Auto division title at the 1997 American Handgunner World Shoot Off. Classic CZ features including excellent accuracy, long service life, high reliability, and simple and fast field stripping making them excellent competition and general use pistols.
Ceska Zbrojovka (CZ) has been a leader in firearms manufacturing since its creation in 1936 in Uherský Brod, Czech Republic. CZ·s use of state of the art technology combined with European craftsmanship has gained them worldwide recognition for their incredibly accurate, durable, and dependable line of pistols, centerfire rifles, rimfire rifles, over and under shotguns, and airguns. CZ-USA is pleased to provide sales and warranty support for their American customers from their new location in Kansas City, Kansas.

One Response
Can I get a kit to convert my 75B Omega to a decocker type safety? I plan to make the change myself. I do use a Kadet conversion some.
